Cotswold District Council LIVE returns to your screens

Cotswold District Council has teamed up with the Barn Theatre to continue production of a monthly online broadcast of the highly successful CDC LIVE - the Council’s online platform to engage with the communities of the District on important issues.

The Barn Theatre began hosting, recording and streaming CDC LIVE events at the beginning of the Covid-19 Lockdown’s in late March 2020 to help keep residents and businesses throughout the district informed of Council activities.

CDC LIVE proved to be very popular, achieving viewing figures across various platforms of between 3000 and 7000 per show, and there have been many requests for these broadcasts to continue. As they say, the show must go on!

Earlier this year, Cotswold District Council’s Cabinet agreed a formal contract with the Barn Theatre to produce a monthly broadcast of CDC LIVE with the first episode to be broadcast on Wednesday 28 October at 5:45 pm.

The first episode back will provide a Covid-19 update for the Cotswolds and will look to celebrate our local communities and businesses. We’ll also be discussing how the Council’s renewed priorities will help drive real, sustainable change throughout the District.

You can tune in LIVE to the show next week through the Council’s Facebook, Twitter and YouTube channels.

Cllr Joe Harris, Leader of Cotswold District Council, said: “CDC LIVE is an opportunity to ask questions and hear about the local issues in your community. I encourage all of our residents to tune in and engage with the show. If you would like a story or your business to feature in future episodes please reach out to us!

"Since opening in March 2018, the Barn Theatre has built a reputation for being one of the most innovative theatres in the country. I’m thrilled that we are able to continue building on our strong relationship and offer our communities a regular show from the Council as we move forward into the new year.”
