Cotswold District Council to hold a flooding forum session for local residents impacted by floods
Residents in the Cotswolds recently affected by flooding are being invited to a virtual flooding forum Q&A session chaired by Cotswold District Council.
Over 70 homes and businesses were affected by recent flooding events in December 2020, with many being affected by recurring problems of sewer flooding.
The Leader of Cotswold District Council, Cllr Joe Harris, recently wrote to Thames Water encouraging them to look into the sewer issues and resolve them for Cotswold residents. This forum will allow local residents to express their concerns and allow their voices to be heard.
The flooding Q&A session will take place on Thursday 11 February at 6 pm using the Council’s Webex solution - an online platform that has enabled residents to engage in council meetings during the coronavirus pandemic.

Leader of the Council, Cllr Joe Harris, said: “Residents in Cirencester, Siddington, South Cerney and others were impacted by the sudden floods over the Christmas period, and we want to give them the opportunity to publicly talk to us about the issues they have faced and air their views.
“If you’ve been affected by the recent floods or you have questions or concerns that you would like to put forward, please register your interest for the Q&A. We want to fully understand how our residents have been impacted so that we can do everything we can to support them.”
