Community Engagement Event in Cirencester

Free fun days for families in the Cotswolds

The Cotswold Community Safety Partnership is working with the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner to provide families in the district with free fun days and to engage about public safety.

Cllr Lisa Spivey, Cabinet Member for Communities and Public Safety, said: “The community engagement event earlier this year was such a success and had such a great turnout, I’m so pleased we’re able to put on two more events this summer to provide families with an afternoon full of fun activities.

“It is so important for us to work together with local organisations to be able to put on these free events across the district. The summer holidays can be an expensive time, so having an afternoon of free activities really does make a difference!

“It is a great opportunity to bring together the local communities whilst providing opportunities for young people to enjoy themselves and learn about community safety at the same time.”

Families in the Cotswolds will have the opportunity to take part in free activities such as circus skills, graffiti design, giant bubbles, African drumming, and much more at events being funded by The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC).

The OPCC is funding three community engagement events across the district through the Home Office’s ‘Safer Streets Fund’, to provide residents with the opportunity to talk with members of the Community Safety Partnership about safety in their area, for example anti social behaviour.

The first community engagement event was held in the May half term in Cirencester and the following two are being held in August.

Tetbury Community Engagement Event
