Local communities have led these initiatives that will provide incredible benefits, from improved outdoor community play space to access to free creative workshops for those who need them most.
Launched in 2021, Crowdfund Cotswold has successfully supported local projects worth over £1 million, showcasing the incredible community spirit and support within the Cotswold District. Since its inception, Cotswold District Council has pledged over £180,000 towards 42 community projects.
Cllr Lisa Spivey, Cabinet Member for Communities and Public Safety, said, “It’s fantastic news £1 million worth of local projects have been supported through our Crowdfund Cotswold platform – it really shows the power of the community!
“In the three years since we launched Crowdfund Cotswold, there have been some really amazing projects with so many different benefits to the community.
“I’m thrilled that we have been able to pledge a total of over £180,000 from the Cotswold Community Fund towards these fantastic projects.
“The pledges from the Council will help projects make significant strides toward achieving their goals, but they still require additional backing from the local community to fully realise their potential. I would encourage all residents and businesses to visit Crowdfund Cotswold and show your support for the many remarkable local initiatives crowdfunding to improve the Cotswolds.
“Congratulations to New Brewery Arts and the Phoenix Festival who have already reached their targets, I look forward to seeing those projects in the near future!”
