Chelsey Salt LABC Award

Local site manager wins regional award!

Chelsey Salt has won a Local Authority Building Control (LABC) Award for Site Manager of the Year.

The LABC Building Excellence Awards celebrate the achievements and building control work carried out by local authorities in the UK.

Chelsey has been awarded for her work as Site Manager at Stonewood Homes Ltd. Starting her career as an apprentice she evolved and transitioned into Assistant Site Manager followed by Site Manager.

As Site Manager, Chelsey worked on the Orchard Field site in Cirencester, she demonstrated extraordinary leadership skills fostering team growth along the way. Chelsey’s proactive approach, timely communication, and dedication to compliance have resulted in the site’s success.

Cllr Juliet Layton, Cabinet Member for Planning and Regulatory Services, said, “Congratulations to Chelsey Salt for winning this regional award, it’s great to see local people recognised for their hard work in our district.

“As a Council we nominated Chelsey because she has worked tirelessly on the Orchard Field project and is an immensely valuable asset to the Stonewood team and an example of upcoming talent within the construction industry!”

Every year LABC holds regional awards for building projects, the winners of the regional awards go through to the national awards.

Chelsey Salt, winner of the LABC regional award, said, “I would firstly like to thank the Cotswold District Council team for nominating me for this award and for being a pleasure to work with on our development.

“It was amazing news to hear that I had won ‘The Site Manager of The Year’ regional award and it’s great to get some recognition for all the hard work I put in to making Orchard Field the successful site that it was. I’m very proud of the quality of homes that we delivered as a team and have enjoyed developing my skills and knowledge along the way.

“I feel very lucky to be part of the Stonewood Homes team, getting the full support and opportunity to further my career in management and to be responsible for building our beautiful homes.”

Cotswold District Council Building Control has regularly nominated projects and individuals for awards in recent years and have been successful with several nominated projects winning the regional nomination to be shortlisted for the national awards.
