Notice of Vacancy Announced for The Blockley Ward

Cotswold District Council has announced that a Notice of Vacancy has been issued for The Blockley Ward following the resignation of Councillor Clare Turner. 

Cllr Turner has decided to resign as a councillor after representing residents on the council for over 3 years.  

Councillor Mike Evemy, leader of Cotswold District Council, said: “I would like to thank Cllr Turner for her service to Cotswold District Council and to the residents of her ward during her time on the Council, particularly to the work of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee. Councillors play an important role in representing their communities and making sure local voices are heard. We are grateful for Cllr Turner’s contribution and wish her all the very best for the future.” 

The Notice of Vacancy marks the formal first stage in the process to fill the vacant council seat. Further information about the next steps, including the election process, will be published in due course.
