Cirencester Leisure Centre and Bourton-on-the-Water Leisure Centre are making a number of improvements to gym facilities this Autumn. Cotswold District Council is investing £380,000 in the leisure centres, managed by SLM Everyone Active, to provide a better experience for members.

Cotswold District Council has supported five more successful projects in the latest round of Crowdfund Cotswold with £34,000 pledged from the Council and over £120,000 raised for hyper-local community projects.

Cotswold residents living in the district’s most energy inefficient properties are being urged to seek advice about whether they could be entitled to energy saving upgrades to their homes to make them more affordable and to act before the colder weather sets in.

Cotswold District Council has reached its target of £500,000 investment into its innovative programme, Cotswold Climate Investment (CCI). Cotswold District Council, having owned The Cotswold Club on Watermoor Road in Cirencester since 1978, has sold the property to Watermoor Point, to invest the income into more carbon zero affordable housing for its residents.

Cotswold District Council has been successful in prosecuting an individual for fly tipping along a bridleway near the B4450 road that leads from Stow-on-the-Wold to Bledington. The tip contained black bin bags, soft furnishings, a sofa, cardboard packaging from children’s toys, items of clothing and a green waste bin. 

Cotswold District Council’s ‘Crowdfund Cotswold’ project has won the Community Involvement award at this year's Local Government Chronicle Awards. The project won the national award this week (Wednesday 20 July), recognising it as one of the best community projects in the country.
