Waste, recycling and food waste collections in Cotswold District will be one day later with effect from Monday 26 December to 30 December as no collections will be made on Boxing Day.

Cotswold District Council have passed a motion at full Council to develop a menopause policy to ensure all staff going through the menopause are getting the support they need at work.

Cotswold District Council have set up the Cotswold Connected Community and Food Programme. This programme will help fund initiatives within the community that tackle the root causes of inequalities, the current cost of living crisis and strengthen community resilience in the longer term.

Following the recent rise in interest rates and changes to national rules, Cotswold District Council has had to change investment plans which were to provide additional income to improve the Cotswolds and help put the Council on a sound financial footing. 

Communities are being urged to come together and make merry this Christmas by organising a ‘Longest Table’ feast. The initiative encourages communities to eat together and is being rolled out by Stroud Community Interest Company ‘The Long Table’, with support from Cotswold District Council.

Fairford Town Council has submitted a Neighbourhood Development Plan to Cotswold District Council that will shape the development of the town.

Residents and businesses in the Cotswolds are being urged to give their views on the District Council’s spending plans as it prepares its budget for the next financial year. The focus of the budget will be on continuing to deliver services as running costs increase as a result of Putin’s war in Ukraine and the national economic situation.
